Classification
Are you sure your product codes are accurate and not out-dated? Correct product compliance determines your customs duty rates as well as whether you need an export license.
What are the risks? If you haven’t reviewed your classifications in over five years, it is very likely your classifications are old or redundant. Customs looks for common errors, such as classifying items in basket provisions (other, other). Incorrect classification can either lead to underpayment of customs duties or even overpayment of customs duties.
Let DSG Global be your guide.
Ensuring you are paying accurate customs duties, not over or under.
Ensuring that you are assigning accurate HTS codes based on the latest binding rulings.
Minimize the risk of being charged extra duties & interest or being selected for a customs audit.
Our Solution
We meet product specialists, and learn more about the technical characteristics of each product group. This will allow us to reduce the entire product database into “unique product groups”. These discussions will also enable us to delete duplications as well as obsolete or low frequency imported items.
DSG Global then provide the 10-digit HTS numbers for its “unique product groups” for imports into the United States. DSG Global will provide the following information in Excel format:
HTS Classification number
Comments, indicating methodology for classification;
Applicable customs rulings
Applicable customs duty rate.
